Yep. Tech blog Gizmodo says your an asshole if you use this. I say you’re brilliant. My guess is that those fools have never hiked a bike from the middle of the woods back to their car. Or from the middle of a deserted street-scape back to civilization. I love this idea. The volume of a car tire and the pressure required to get to 35 psi on something that large and ridged should give you enough air and enough force to get to at least 50-80 psi, maybe even higher, on a road tire…and still leave the car with plenty of usable PSI. Genius.
Mos def dick to use that. Your fault if you don’t bring a pump, patches and tubes on a ride.

My first thought wasn’t stealing air, but taking air from my own tires at the trail head in case someone needed some.
